Key Responsibilities: as a Human Resource Coordinator at dnata catering, your primary responsibility will be to support the Human Resource Generalist in various HR functions. In this role, you will support the coordination of employee training and development programs, including organizing training sessions, tracking attendance, and evaluating program effectiveness. You will also contribute to employee engagement initiatives, such as organizing company events, employee recognition programs, and team-building activities. Additionally, you will assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, claims processing, and addressing employee inquiries related to benefits. You will also support HR projects and initiatives, such as performance management, employee surveys, and policy development.

You Will

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with all internal HR Related inquiries or requests.
  • Maintain both hard and digital copies of employees’ records.
  • Complete I-9 Forms, verify I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
  • Review and manage approvals for weekly timecards to process ADP Payroll.
  • Prepare and process PAFs for all employee transactions.
  • Prepare headcount & labor reports for unit management and Corporate.
  • Administer employee recognition programs, company bulletin boards and newsletter.
  • Administer and enforce HR policy and procedures and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Administrate the company's safety and workers' compensation program.
  • Assist with the administration and compliance of the new hire and annual performance review programs.
  • Assist with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letter at the end of the recruiting process.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Administer employee uniform program, employee parking & employee badge systems.

 

NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

This salary range and is influenced by the level of experience. When calculating the base pay, we take into account various factors such as location, qualifications, training, and experience as part of the overall compensation package. 

You Have

EDUCATION: Associate degree in human resources plus 2-3 years broad-based human resource experience.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 3 years broad-based human resource experience.
  • Full understanding of Massachusetts HR functions and best practices.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems, preferably ADP & ICIMS.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexible schedule as business demands. Regular office attendance required.
  • Human Resources experience in restaurant, retail or hospitality preferred within a unionized enviroment preferred.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.

Intellectual/Social demands:

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits.  Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. This position also requires constant attendance and punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly. 

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds. Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Use equipment and materials properly.

Work environment:

The essential functions of this position are performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud.
