You Will

  • Manage a team of technicians to perform inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure serviceable, safe and reliable ground service equipment is provided to operate.
  • Manage procurement and inventory of materials, supplies, and parts required to maintain all types of company owned and operated ground service equipment and facilities.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on status of GSE and serviceability through company’s maintenance management software.
  • Coordinate activities related to fleet maintenance, ground service equipment, heavy equipment including operational performance, costs of operation and maintenance, operational safety, and compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Consult with operational teams to determine equipment and machinery requirements, ensure maximum utilization of equipment and prevent operational delays.
  • Determine and manage work schedules to obtain optimum utilization of personnel.
  • Assist in the development of training materials and procedural manuals.
  • Conduct training and orientation for new technicians/employees.
  • Meet the Station’s attendance requirements.

You Have

This is a hands-on job.  You must be willing and able to perform all the necessary job functions as well as manage the other Ground Service team members.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.   • 1 - 3 years of supervisory/ management experience
  • 3 - 5 years diesel mechanic/ ground service equipment related experience.
  • Ability to work varying hours/shifts depending on operational needs.
  • Ability to effectively present information.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with re-occurring and sudden situations with patience, skill, and imagination, while remaining aware of the need for high pace.
  • Must comply with all company guidelines and policies.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver license and other FAA/Airport required identifications, seals, and authorizations.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy items of 75 pounds or more; bending standing, climbing, and walking.
  • Must be able to work safely in an environment containing chemicals, cleaning materials, dust, and noise. Routinely required to work under inclement weather conditions.
