POSITION SUMMARY: We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at dnata Catering. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing various repair and maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

OFF Days: Friday & Saturday

You Will

  • Conduct electrical repairs and maintenance, including lightbulb replacements, wiring repairs, circuit breaker and fuse replacements.
  • Perform carpentry and general construction tasks such as woodwork, sanding, painting, and other related duties.
  • Handle general plumbing tasks, including fixing toilets, faucets, and leaks.
  • Conduct facility repairs, including repairing doors, doorknobs, locks, broken tiles, polishing floors, staining, and other maintenance tasks.
  • Perform outdoor tasks such as landscaping and snow removal, including maintaining sidewalks and driveways.
  • Utilize cleaning solutions for various cleaning tasks.
  • Work in environments with exposure to dust, noise, and temperature changes (extreme cold, hot weather, rain, snow).
  • Handle truck materials and liquids as required.
  • Lift and move materials weighing up to 45 lbs.
  • Demonstrate manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance.
  • Stand, walk, and move rapidly for an eight (8) hour work shift.
  • Bend, stoop, twist, turn, climb stairs, and work on trucks.
  • Perform repetitious arm and wrist movements.
  • Maintain mental alertness to ensure safe and accurate completion of work activities.
  • Occasionally work other shifts and overtime as needed.
  • Learn new tasks and procedures as required.
  • Move furniture and equipment as necessary.

NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Other duties as assigned.

You Have

EDUCATION: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years’ experience in a high-volume food service with at least 1-year experience.

 

  • HVAC certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge in various aspects of repair and maintenance work.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Minimum of 5 years of handyman or related experience.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime and other shifts.

 

Intellectual/Social demands:

  • While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits.  Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. This position also requires constant attendance and punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly. 

Physical demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds. Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Use equipment and materials properly.

Work environment:

  • The essential functions of this position are performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold/heat (weather), heights and loud noise (earplugs must be worn while on the Ramp)
