You Will

  • Lead and manage the recruitment operations across all departments and stations at the JFK location.
  • Supervise a team of four Talent Acquisition/Hiring Specialists, ensuring they have the necessary tools, access, training, and support to perform effectively.
  • Assess staffing needs for each department and coordinate hiring efforts to support operational requirements.
  • Source candidates through various channels including online platforms, workforce agencies, walk-ins, job fairs, and hiring events.
  • Provide weekly hiring updates to senior leadership, including VPs, Directors, and Operations Managers.
  • Travel to other states or stations as needed to offer administrative and recruitment support.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to address recruitment challenges and maintain smooth operations.
  • Communicate effectively with candidates, recruiters, HR, payroll, and operations teams both locally and regionally to ensure recruitment success.
  • Maintain and update the hiring tracker with new hires, tracking their badging and onboarding status for all JFK stations.
  • Collaborate with federal agencies such as the Port Authority, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and the U.S. Postal Service to ensure compliance with regulations and secure area clearances.
  • Utilize systems such as ICIMS and ADP for recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Ensure completion of I-9 forms, E-Verification, and all required onboarding documentation prior to placement.
  • Uphold and enforce company standards, policies, and procedures consistently.
  • Motivate, coach, evaluate, and develop staff, while promoting employee recognition initiatives.
  • Manage daily hiring needs and support recruitment efforts during new startups.
  • Use ReQlogic to order office supplies, uniforms, and protective gear for operations and new hires, ensuring timely invoice payments.
  • Address and resolve applicant inquiries, complaints, or issues during the hiring and onboarding process.
  • Conduct screening, interviews, and oversee the hiring and badging process for new candidates.
  • Validate candidates sourced by recruiting agencies such as the Council for Airport Opportunity, Grant Associates (Workforce 1), and educational institutions.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

 

 

You Have

  •  Knowledge and understanding of HR best practices; local, state and federal employment law and regulations.
  •     2-3 years of Experience as a recruiter
  •     Sound judgement and problem-solving skills
  •      Customer focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion
  •       Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and creating a team environment.
  •      Detail oriented, with ability to track task progress to completion.
  •       Demonstrated ability to motivate, collaborate, and lead.
  •      Highly organized with the ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines.
  •      Must handle confidential matters with appropriate discretion.
  •      Ability to travel as required.
  •      Must deliver friendly, courteous and prompt customer service.
  •      Must be well- organized, detailed oriented, and accuracy driven
  •      Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
  •      Demonstrated proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. A general understanding of Windows, Google Chrome Browser, Internet Explorer Browser
