The People & Culture Generalist supports day-to-day HR operations and drives initiatives aligned with the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and performance support. Reporting directly to the People & Culture Manager or Sr. Manager of Employee Relations, the Generalist acts as a strategic partner to local leadership, providing guidance on policies, practices, and people engagement. This role is essential in fostering a strong and inclusive workplace culture in alignment with dnata’s global values.

Employee Relations & Engagement
• Support employee relations by conducting intake for concerns, providing guidance on policy, and assisting with investigations
• Promote positive workplace culture through engagement programs and regular feedback channels
• Assist with the rollout and follow-up on culture survey initiatives
Talent & Onboarding
• Coordinate with Talent Acquisition to support hiring managers with requisitions and candidate management
• Facilitate a seamless onboarding experience for new hires and support early employee integration
• Help maintain CDL hiring compliance where applicable
Performance & Development
• Provide support in executing performance management cycles (goal setting, evaluations, coaching)
• Support leadership and employee training initiatives in partnership with the Corporate HR team
HR Operations & Compliance
• Assist with policy rollouts and ensure local HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment regulations
• Ensure timecard review, leave tracking, and HRIS updates are accurate and timely
• Generate reports on key HR metrics (turnover, corrective actions, training completions)
Collaboration
• Act as a liaison between frontline staff and leadership to improve communication, understanding, and trust
• Partner with Payroll, Benefits, and Employee Relations teams to resolve employee inquiries efficiently

This salary range and is influenced by the level of experience. When calculating the base pay, we take into account various factors such as location, qualifications, training, and experience as part of the overall compensation package.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field. 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a unionized environment
• Working knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish or other) a plus
Intellectual/Social demands:

Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds. Work environment:
The essential functions of this position are performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud.
