Responsibilities as a Pot Washer at dnata Catering, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. Your primary responsibility will be to efficiently clean and sanitize pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils used in meal preparation. You will follow established cleaning procedures and guidelines to ensure that all equipment is washed, rinsed, and sanitized properly. Additionally, you may be responsible for assisting with general kitchen cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash and cleaning trash cans. This role is essential to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in our kitchen operations. Join our team and contribute to the smooth functioning of dnata Catering!

You Will

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow established rules of entry to building and work areas, properly attired and in compliance with HACCP guidelines for personal hygiene and observe security precautions as mandated by management.
  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans by hand.
  • Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in approved, proper storage areas.
  • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
  • Sweep, mop, and deck brush floors.
  • Clean garbage cans weekly with soap and water.
  • Sort and remove trash and placing it in the dumpster at the end of every shift.
  • Ensures parking lot, dumpster area and ramp are free of garbage.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by unit Supervisors.

Ideal Candidate

  • The ideal candidate will lead employees to ensure compliance with all safety, company, and regulatory procedures. In addition, ensuring that the sanitation process meets all FDA and/or USDA and internal requirements.
  • The individual will ensure that the sanitation SOP is being followed and all activities are documented per company policy.
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation processes/procedures and HACCP.

 

NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Other duties as assigned by management (i.e., VIP shopping, dish room and equipment and warehouse departments).

You Have

EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED Required with 1 years related experience and/or training.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One year experience as a Pot Washer.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Able to speak and write in English.
  • Must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule.
  • Able to work closely with other kitchen staff members in a fast-paced environment.

 

Intellectual/Social demands:

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits.  Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. This position also requires constant attendance and punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly.

 

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds. Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Use equipment and materials properly.

 

Work environment:

The essential functions of this position are performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud
