The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities across assigned departments such as transportation, warehousing, sanitation, and equipment handling. This role ensures that operational processes meet company, regulatory, and customer standards while supporting continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and safety. The Operations Supervisor provides direction to frontline staff, assists with scheduling, and supports management in meeting operational and financial goals.

You Will

  • Supervise daily operations of assigned departments (transportation, sanitation, warehousing, equipment).
  • Monitor workflows to ensure adherence to customer requirements, company policies, and regulatory standards (HACCP, SSOP, GMP, USDA, FDA).
  • Assign, schedule, and direct team members to meet production and service targets.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and compliance standards are consistently followed.Assist with training, coaching, and motivating employees to drive high performance and teamwork.
  • Track and report operational metrics, highlighting issues and recommending corrective actions.
  • Support the Operations Manager in process optimization and cost control initiatives.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and company initiatives (VIP flights, workplace safety, Lean initiatives).

 

Nonessential functions:

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational excellence.

You Have

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 2–4 years of experience in operations supervision, preferably in manufacturing, logistics, or food processing.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and FDA compliance is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and employee relations skills; able to motivate and coach diverse teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and resolve operational challenges.
  • Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
  • Ability to meet Port Authority/TSA ID requirements.
