Key Responsibilities as a Warehouse Clerk at dnata Catering, an aviation catering company, your role will involve a variety of tasks related to inventory management and warehouse operations. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming food and beverage products, equipment, and supplies. Additionally, you will assist in organizing and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring proper stock rotation, and conducting regular stock counts. As a crucial member of the team, you will also collaborate with other departments to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. Your attention to detail, effective communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the seamless operation of the warehouse and help ensure the timely delivery for dnata Catering.

You Will

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor all inbound flights, store equipment, and assigned cages to be secured.
  • Monitor and secure all duty-free goods.
  • In a timely manner – correctly fill requisitions from stock/warehouse, (includes but not limited to food and nonfood items, dry and wet goods).
  • Must have strength to be able to move stock on flat surfaces and up inclined ramps. Use of hand trucks, lifts, pallet movers required.
  • Restock, move, and rotate stock within storage areas (non-food related).
  • Breakdown refuse containers for disposal.
  • Maintain clean storage areas daily. Clean up spillage, and breakage.
  • Ability to work as a team player – work with supervision at all levels.
  • Work in safe manner to prevent accidents to self and coworkers.
  • Assist with checking and auditing inventory when required.
  • Follow HACCP requirements for this area.

NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Other duties as assigned by management (i.e., VIP shopping, dish room and equipment departments).

You Have

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED, equivalent, with a minimum of 1 years related experience in warehouse inventory.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Forklift certified preferred.
  • The Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. 
  • Ability to interact with employees of all levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent Customer Relations skills.
  • Able to understand, read, communicate, and write in English.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced demanding environment.
  • Must have flexibility and weekend availability.

Intellectual/Social demands:

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits.  Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including: following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. This position also requires constant attendance and punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly.

 

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds. Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Use equipment and materials properly.

 

Work environment:

The essential functions of this position are performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud.
