Key Responsibilities; we are seeking a highly organized and experienced Ramp Transportation Manager to oversee and manage the ramp transportation operations at dnata Catering, an aviation catering company. The Ramp Transportation Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of catering services to and from aircraft. This role requires excellent coordination skills, the ability to work closely with customers, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. You Will

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure compliance with ramp safety and A1 audits to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate and liaise between the unit and customers on the field to ensure smooth operations.
  • Coordinate catering activities with ground crews for timely and accurate delivery of services.
  • Monitor flows, arrival, and departure flights to adjust transportation schedules accordingly.
  • Assign keys to drivers and provide them with clear instructions on their duties.
  • Coordinate with the dispatch team to stay updated on flight arrivals and departures.
  • Track driver's location, record arrival and departure times, and ensure efficient transportation operations.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP/GMP and dnata Catering sanitation and food handling policies. 

NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

This salary range and is influenced by the level of experience. When calculating the base pay, we take into account various factors such as location, qualifications, training, and experience as part of the overall compensation package. $95,000.00

You Have

EDUCATION: Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school with 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Airport Experience is Required.
  • CDL License Class A or B preferred but not required. 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be able to passport authority (local/ State) and U.S. Customs & Border Protection background check and obtain ID.
  • Must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule.
  • Able to work closely with customers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather (windy, rain, snow, excessive heat).
  • Strong knowledge of ramp transportation operations in the aviation industry.

 

Intellectual/Social demands:

  • While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits.  Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. This position also requires constant attendance and punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly. 

Physical demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds. Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Use equipment and materials properly.

Work environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold/heat (weather), heights and loud noise (earplugs must be worn while on the Ramp)
