You Will

The Environmental Manager is responsible for the design, introduction, and support of environmental/sustainability policies, procedures, and systems.  To accomplish your mission, you must be adept at influencing and building internal and external relationships, motivating and inspiring teams, and communicating effectively throughout all levels of our organization.  You will be both strategic and tactical, developing and implementing plans and strategies as well as conducting and actioning  environmental and sustainability audits to ascertain if our company, suppliers, and partners are operating in accordance with applicable requirements, laws, and regulations.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the introduction of environmental and sustainability policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Provide technical advice, support, and direction to dnata and suppliers on environmental and sustainability issues.
  • Work with key stakeholders to resolve technical issues to facilitate the implementation of sustainable initiatives.
  • Research and work with new vendors to develop new sustainable solutions to help meet our corporate targets.
  • Evolve environmental data and reporting to meet organizational strategy.
  • Manage Fleet Emission Standards
  • Establish Environmental Emergency Response Protocols
  • Work with internal departments to set targets and improve their performance, as required.
  • Drive sustainable procurement by assessing existing and future vendors against company procedures.
  • Manage internal and regulatory changes for immediate introduction.
  • Respond to customer questionnaires and requests.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess the performance against the environmental and sustainability policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Analyze audit and other results, and highlight trends to identify risks and enable informed and effective decision making.
  • Subject matter expert in applicable incident investigations and corrective action processes and procedures.
  • Produce regular environmental and sustainability reports for all stakeholders.
  • Provide regular environmental and sustainability training to colleagues.
  • Identify opportunities and technologies that may support emissions reductions and waste reductions, including biofuels, renewable energy, etc.

You Have

  • 5 – 7 Years of Experience Leading Environmental Programs
  • Background in the introduction of environmental and sustainability policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Working knowledge of 40 CFR & 49 CFR
  • Foundation of Stormwater Management, Clean Air Act, RCRA and CERLA
  • Familiarization of Green Space Development (NEPA)
  • Flexible can-do approach to completing initiatives and projects.
  • Understanding of customer needs, and the ability to meet internal and external expectations.
  • Commitment to proposing improvements on strategies, policies, procedures, and systems, and managing change successfully with a positive impact.
  • Experience in managing, conducting, and acting on environmental and sustainability audits.
  • Ability to effectively manage conflict, and collaborate to resolve problems.
  • Background in producing and presenting reports.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a high-pressure environment and delivering organizational results with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire colleagues and teams to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Extensive computer skills – including Office 365 Suite.
  • Ability to travel extensively as required.
