We are seeking a skilled IT Project Technician to join our team on a temporary, part-time basis. The technician will be responsible for executing various technical tasks, including cable runs and termination, installing cameras, managing low voltage runs, and installing data equipment such as data racks and patch panels. This position requires frequent travel throughout the tri-state area, with the possibility of occasional travel to other cities across the US.

You Will

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cable runs and terminations according to project specifications.
  • Install various types of cameras and security equipment.
  • Handle low voltage cable installations and patching cables in.
  • Install data equipment, including data racks and patch panels.
  • Ensure all installations meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
  • Work at heights above ceiling level and in small, confined spaces.
  • Operate ladders and scissor lifts as part of daily tasks.
  • Adhere to all safety standards to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Travel to various job sites throughout the tri-state area and potentially other US cities.

NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

This salary range and is influenced by the level of experience. When calculating the base pay, we take into account various factors such as location, qualifications, training, and experience as part of the overall compensation package. 

You Have

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree, or at least 1 years of relevant experience in an IT support role

 

  • Proven experience in cable running, termination, and low voltage installations.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed
  • Working knowledge of Cisco Meraki products
  • Up to 20% travel

Intellectual/Socal demands:

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits.  Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. This position also requires constant attendance and punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly.

 Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds. Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Use equipment and materials properly.

 Work environment:

The essential functions of this position are performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud.
